I believe that these two labels are from the period between 1917 and 1919 when Michigan was under state-wide prohibition, but national prohibition had yet to be enacted. I have been informed that some time after national prohibition was enacted, the name of the brewery was changed to either the Arbutus Beverage Co. or the Upper Michigan Products Co. I'm not sure yet which came first.
