Koppitz-Melchers, Inc. Label Proofs from Calvert Lithography of Detroit

The Pale Select & Bock labels are from a Calvert Lithography progressive proof booklet. Progressive proof booklets tend to be one-of-a-kind items as they were created for a specific print job and were usually destroyed when the plates were destroyed. They are called progressive proofs because they have prints of each one of the colors used for a print job along with prints of what the job should look like in progress and the final product. These were generally used for quality control purposes. The Silver Star Label is also a proof, but it is of the final product only.
