* AB-II shows Wildanger & Hux (MI-136a) as being a predecessor to William Lewis's Thread Brewery (MI-136b). However, the 1877 Michigan State Gazetteer shows the two breweries to be contemporaries. As such, I don't think that they were affiliated, but I'll reserve my judgment until I've had a chance to do further research.
