The 1877 Michigan State Gazetteer lists the Thread Brewery as producing "Ales, etc." with no mention of Lager Beer.

AB-II shows this brewery as following in succession after Wildanger & Hux (MI-136a).  However, the 1877 Michigan State Gazetteer shows the two breweries to be contemporaries. As such, I don't think that they were affiliated, but I'll reserve my judgment until I've had a chance to do further research.
