productional. American Breweries II references this as
NP, which it describes as: "No
federal permit issued or simply non-producing. A number of these breweries were listed in
the 1934 BREWERY DIRECTORY AND SUPPLIES INDEX by Atlas Publishing Co. These Breweries were
not issued a federal permit and probably did not reach the production state. In
other cases, marketing men, perhaps with less than honorable intent, huckstered breweries
that were still in the capital raising stage to such an extent that collectables exist
showing impressive brewery scenes - when in fact ground was never broken. They are
listed for identification purposes as advertising material and prototype production
material my be found for these breweries."
